Playmantis Payment Policy

Effective date: 10 August 2025

This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, when charges are applied, currency and GST details, security measures, and how refunds are processed for purchases made at Playmantis PTY LTD (ABN: 66 687 422 859).

Accepted payment methods

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. We do not offer buy now, pay later options, and we do not sell gift cards at this time. We do not apply card surcharges. Your card statement will generally show “Playmantis” as the merchant descriptor.

Currency, pricing, and GST

  • All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • We are not currently registered for GST in Australia. Accordingly, GST is not charged on your purchase.
  • If our GST registration status changes, we will update this policy and our checkout to reflect GST being charged where applicable.
  • Shipping fees are shown at checkout.
  • From time to time, pricing errors may occur; if a pricing error affects your order, we will contact you to offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

When you’re charged

  • For in‑stock items, payment is captured at checkout when you place your order.
  • For pre‑orders, payment is generally taken at the time of order unless we explicitly state otherwise on the product page. For full details, please see our FAQs and any Pre‑Order information on the product page.

Authorisation, verification, and order review

To protect customers and our business from fraud, we may use automated and manual checks (for example, AVS/postcode checks or other verification). We may contact you for additional information or cancel and refund an order that cannot be verified. Verification may delay dispatch until checks are completed.

Security

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides PCI DSS compliant payment processing and SSL/TLS encryption. We do not store full card numbers on our systems. For more details, see the Payment section of our FAQs.

Invoices and receipts

An order confirmation is emailed after checkout. An invoice/receipt will be emailed to you once payment is captured. If you need another copy, contact support@playmantis.com.au. Note: While we are not registered for GST, we cannot issue a “tax invoice” showing GST.

Discounts, promo codes, and store credit

Only one promo code can usually be applied per order unless stated otherwise. Discounts cannot be applied after an order is placed. Store credits (if issued) are applied to the order subtotal before shipping.

Refunds and reversals

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Once we issue a refund, banks and card providers may take 7–10 business days to post it to your account. For steps if a refund is delayed, see our Refund/Returns Policy.

Chargebacks and disputes

If there’s a problem with your order, please reach out to us first at support@playmantis.com.au so we can resolve it quickly. If a chargeback is lodged, we may provide order, tracking, and communication records to your payment provider.

Shipping, fulfilment, and split orders

Shipping costs, any free‑shipping thresholds, and delivery timeframes are set out in our Shipping Policy. In some cases we may ship items separately; you’ll only be charged the shipping amount shown at checkout. For general shipping guidance, see our FAQs.

Failed, declined, or duplicate transactions

If a payment fails or is declined, please confirm your card details, billing address, and available funds, or try a different payment method. If you believe you’ve been charged twice in error, contact us and we’ll investigate and refund any duplicate charge.

Australian customers only

We currently ship within Australia only, and all payments are processed in AUD.
