This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, when charges are applied, currency and GST details, security measures, and how refunds are processed for purchases made at Playmantis PTY LTD (ABN: 66 687 422 859).
We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. We do not offer buy now, pay later options, and we do not sell gift cards at this time. We do not apply card surcharges. Your card statement will generally show “Playmantis” as the merchant descriptor.
To protect customers and our business from fraud, we may use automated and manual checks (for example, AVS/postcode checks or other verification). We may contact you for additional information or cancel and refund an order that cannot be verified. Verification may delay dispatch until checks are completed.
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides PCI DSS compliant payment processing and SSL/TLS encryption. We do not store full card numbers on our systems. For more details, see the Payment section of our FAQs.
An order confirmation is emailed after checkout. An invoice/receipt will be emailed to you once payment is captured. If you need another copy, contact support@playmantis.com.au. Note: While we are not registered for GST, we cannot issue a “tax invoice” showing GST.
Only one promo code can usually be applied per order unless stated otherwise. Discounts cannot be applied after an order is placed. Store credits (if issued) are applied to the order subtotal before shipping.
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Once we issue a refund, banks and card providers may take 7–10 business days to post it to your account. For steps if a refund is delayed, see our Refund/Returns Policy.
If there’s a problem with your order, please reach out to us first at support@playmantis.com.au so we can resolve it quickly. If a chargeback is lodged, we may provide order, tracking, and communication records to your payment provider.
Shipping costs, any free‑shipping thresholds, and delivery timeframes are set out in our Shipping Policy. In some cases we may ship items separately; you’ll only be charged the shipping amount shown at checkout. For general shipping guidance, see our FAQs.
If a payment fails or is declined, please confirm your card details, billing address, and available funds, or try a different payment method. If you believe you’ve been charged twice in error, contact us and we’ll investigate and refund any duplicate charge.
We currently ship within Australia only, and all payments are processed in AUD.

Our Pre-order Promise is all about giving you peace of mind, allowing you to secure those must-have items from our upcoming releases even before they officially hit the shelves.
By pre-ordering, you're guaranteeing your piece of limited stock. We'll make sure it's shipped straight to you the moment it arrives at our warehouse or on its official release date, so you can spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your latest additions!
Please take a moment to review the following terms and conditions that govern our Pre-order Promise. Understanding these details before you place your order helps ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
We do our best to provide an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for every pre-order product listed on our website. You'll typically find this information clearly stated on the product page of each pre-order item.
Keep in mind that these ETAs are our best estimates and are subject to change. Sometimes, things happen that are beyond Playmantis PTY LTD's control, which can lead to delays. These might include:
Unexpected manufacturing hold-ups
Shipping or logistical issues from our distributors
Customs delays
Unforeseen allocation shortages from suppliers
If a significant delay occurs (generally more than two months from our original estimate), we'll update the product listing with the new projected date. We'll also do our best to notify all affected customers directly via email. For smaller adjustments to ETAs, the updated date on the product page will be your go-to.
Once your pre-order item arrives at our warehouse, it'll be swiftly processed for dispatch or marked as ready for local pickup.
However, if a specific official release date has been set by the manufacturer or publisher, we're required to hold dispatch or pickup until that date. This ensures everyone gets their items at the same time, maintaining fair play across the board!
If your order contains a pre-order item along with other products that are currently in stock, we'll hold the entire order until your pre-order item arrives at our warehouse or reaches its official release date. This lets us ship everything together efficiently.

Please be aware that if we split your original order into separate shipments, an additional shipping charge will apply to the portion containing your pre-order products. This covers the cost of that extra delivery.
For orders containing more than one pre-order item, or a mix of pre-orders and in-stock items, we'll wait until all pre-order products have arrived at our warehouse or reached their official release dates before dispatching the complete order.

As with mixed orders, splitting an order with multiple pre-order items into separate shipments will incur an additional shipping charge for each separate pre-order delivery.
Should you need to cancel a pre-order, please contact Playmantis PTY LTD via our Contact Us page, providing your order number. We'll do our utmost to accommodate your request, in line with the terms outlined in our Returns Policy.
Please note that due to our streamlined order processing, packing, and dispatch routines, we may be unable to cancel or amend any pre-orders (or orders containing pre-order items) if the request is made within five (5) days of the product's official release date or its arrival at our warehouse (whichever comes first). This is particularly important for those high-demand or limited-run releases.
While rare, factors beyond our control can sometimes lead to shortages in our pre-order allocation or, in extreme cases, a complete cancellation of a product by our suppliers or manufacturers.
If we face limited product supply, we may, unfortunately, need to reduce or cancel pre-orders, either partially or entirely. We typically prioritise orders based on the date and time they were placed, though other criteria may apply at our discretion.
Should your pre-order be impacted by a shortage, reduction, or cancellation, we will notify you promptly via email using the contact information you provided at checkout. In the event of a full cancellation, you will receive a complete refund for the affected item(s).
