Shipping policy

Shipping rates

  • Trading cards: Flat rate of $8.99 Australia‑wide.
  • All other products (including board games): Flat rate of $11.99 Australia‑wide.

All orders are sent with Australia Post tracking. Orders ship from Brisbane, Queensland.

Processing time

  • Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • During peak periods or promotions, processing may take a little longer.
  • Address changes can only be made prior to dispatch; please contact us promptly.

Estimated delivery times

  • Standard: 2–8 business days for most metro areas.
  • Regional/remote: Typically 7–14 business days.
  • Express: Not offered as a standard option; contact us before ordering if you need urgent delivery and we’ll advise if we can accommodate it.

Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by Australia Post and can vary due to factors outside our control (weather events, carrier delays, public holidays).

Order tracking

You’ll receive a shipment confirmation email with your Australia Post tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Parcel Lockers and PO Boxes are supported. Delivery instructions are passed to Australia Post but cannot be guaranteed.

Packaging

  • Trading cards: Shipped in protective sleeves, top loaders and/or team bags, within rigid mailers or boxes. “Do Not Bend” labelling is used where appropriate.
  • Board games: Shipped in sturdy cartons with corner and edge protection and void fill to minimise movement.

Box condition (board games)

We aim to supply new, sealed board games in excellent condition. Minor cosmetic imperfections to the outer box (for example, slight corner compression, small scuffs, or light shelf wear from the distributor) can occur and generally do not affect gameplay or the components inside. If your game arrives with significant damage to the box or components, please contact us within 48 hours with photos so we can assess and resolve under the Australian Consumer Law.

Incorrect or incomplete address

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. Playmantis PTY LTD is not responsible for orders delivered to incorrectly provided addresses. If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable or unclaimed, we can reship to a corrected address; re‑shipping fees will apply. After dispatch, redirections must be arranged via your Australia Post MyPost account where available.

Authority to Leave and signatures

Australia Post may offer Authority to Leave (ATL) at the delivery address. If ATL is selected or applied by the carrier, the parcel may be left in a safe location. Playmantis PTY LTD is not liable for loss after a confirmed ATL delivery scan. If you prefer Signature on Delivery (recommended for higher‑value board games), please contact us before ordering and we’ll advise availability and any additional cost.

Lost or damaged parcels

  • Damaged on arrival: Please email support@playmantis.com.au within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item, inner packaging, outer packaging, and the shipping label.
  • Lost in transit: If tracking hasn’t updated for a reasonable period, contact us and we will initiate an enquiry with Australia Post.
  • We work with Australia Post to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Remedies may include replacement (if available) or a refund in line with our Return and Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.

Pre‑orders and split shipments

  • Pre‑orders ship once all items in the order are available, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
  • We may ship items separately at our discretion. You will only be charged the shipping amount shown at checkout.
  • If you request a pre‑order to ship separately from in‑stock items, an additional shipping charge may apply.

Combining orders

We’re generally unable to combine separate orders after checkout due to processing timelines. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need an exception; we’ll help if we can.

Additional shipping charges

In rare cases where the actual shipping cost is significantly higher than our standard rate (for example, bulky board games, multiple large items in one order, or remote area surcharges), we may contact you before dispatch to approve an additional shipping charge. We will not charge extra without your approval; if you do not approve, we can cancel the order for a full refund.

Public holidays and delays

Processing and delivery times may be affected by Australian public holidays and Queensland state holidays.

Shipping destinations

We currently ship to addresses within Australia only. International shipping is not available at this time.
